Changing Media Repository Address
- In the menu structure navigate to Administration -> Verba servers -> web application, go to System and select Servers.
- Select the Media Repository that for which you want to change the IP address of -> Select .
- Go to the Change Configuration tab
- Under Network -> Server IP address change the IP address
- Click on the save button (floppy icon) at the top right corner of the frame
- A yellow strip , and under System, set a new IP address.
- Click Save.
- Apply the configuration changes either by following the link in the notification that appears at the top of the page prompting to apply the configuration. Click on apply, then on the page click on the Execute Selected Tasks buttonOpen up services.msc on the Media Repository server (after gaining access probably through RDP) screen, or by going to the Configuration Tasks tab and selecting Execute Selected Tasks.
- Log in to the Media Repository server.
- Open services.msc, and restart the Verba Web Application service.
- Verify that all servers with Verba components can properly resolve the new hostname host name and IP address (verify eventual , including any /etc/hosts overrides).
If you have Recording Servers , or Desktop Recorders that are uploading media to the local disk of the Media Repository server's local disk, then also complete the following steps:
- In the menu structure navigate to Administration -> Verba servers -> web application, go to System and select Servers.
- Select the Recording Server /or Desktop Recorder -> Select and go to the Change Configuration tab.
- Under Storage Management - > Storage Targets - > Media Repository Local Disk -> Media , set a new IP address or host name in the Media Repository IP Address or Hostname change the IP/hostname setting.
- Click on the save button (floppy icon) at the top right corner of the frameA yellow strip Save.
- Apply the configuration changes either by following the link in the notification that appears at the top of the page prompting to apply the configuration. Click on apply, then on the page click on the Execute Selected Tasks button

Changing Recording Server Address

- Under Network -> System -> Server IP address change the IP

- A yellow strip web application, go to System and select Servers.
- Select the Recording server for which you want to change the IP address.
- Go to the Change Configuration tab, and under System, set a new IP address.
- Click Save.
- Apply the configuration changes either by following the link in the notification that appears at the top of the page prompting to apply the configuration. Click on apply, then on the page click on the screen, or by going to the Configuration Tasks tab and selecting Execute Selected Tasks button.
- Verify that all servers with Verba components can properly resolve the new hostname host name and IP address (verify eventual , including any /etc/hosts overrides).
If you are using the Cisco UC UCM platform, then also change the IP address of the recorder 's IP in CUCM, as decribed in the the Create and configure a SIP Trunk article.
If you are using SPAN-based recording for Microsoft Skype for Business (Lync), then also complete the following steps:
- In the menu structure navigate to Administration -> Verba servers -> Select the Recording Server -> Select web application, go to System and select Servers.
- Select the Recording server for which you want to change the IP address and go to the Change Configuration tab.
- Under Lync Filter - > Signaling Information Target Settings - > Recording Server(s), change the IP /hostname address or host name of the Recording Serverserver.
- Click on the save button (floppy icon) at the top right corner of the frameA yellow strip Save.
- Apply the configuration changes either by following the link in the notification that appears at the top of the page prompting to apply the configuration. Click on apply, then on the page click on the screen, or by going to the Configuration Tasks tab and selecting Execute Selected Tasks button.
If you are using other SIP-based telephony platforms, please point the system at the recording server's new IP /hostnameaddress or host name of the Recording server.
Changing Desktop Recorder Address
The Desktop Recorder registers itself on the Recording servers with its current IP address. No configuration changes need to be completed on the verba components.
Change the IP/hostname and then , so no extra configuration changes are required.
After changing the IP address or host name, verify that all servers with Verba components can properly resolve the new hostname host name and IP address (verify eventual , including any /etc/hosts overrides).
Changing SQL Server Address
