Using standard LDAP user import

If you have selected General LDAP as the source of the import, you have to configure connection parameters.
If you have added all the required connection parameters, you can test the connection by pressing the Test Connection button. You can start the import by pressing the Start reading from LDAP button.
The following table describes the different fields:
Name | Description |

LDAP Host | Host name or IP address of the server, which runs the Active Directory server. |
LDAP Port | Port setting for LDAP server. Default: 389 |
LDAP User DN | LDAP user distinguished name. The user login parameter. |
LDAP Password | Password for the LDAP connection. |
Search DN | This property defines the proper LDAP object. |
Search Filter | Search parameter for getting the user attributes. Default: - |
Name 1. Attribute | This LDAP attribute will be the first name of the user. Default: cn |
Login Name Attribute | This LDAP attribute will be the login name for the user. Default: - |
Name 2. Attribute | This LDAP attribute will be the last name of the user. |
E-mail Attribute | This LDAP attribute will be the e-mail address of the user. Default: mail |
Password (MD5) Attribute | This LDAP attribute will be the password of the user. Only values, hashed by MD5 are acceptable. If missing, the login name will be used. |
Phone Number Attribute | This LDAP attribute will be used for user extension assignment. Default: telephoneNumber |
Phone Number Separator | If more than 1 phone number is entered in the previous field, you have to define the separator character. Default: - |
Character Encoding | Characters stored in the LDAP by this encoding. Default: ISO-8859-1 |
